A highly advanced project with backing from well-known philanthropic organisations including the Gates Foundation, the project involved highly technical collaboration between industrial design, hardware design, software development, UI development and the optical system being developed by Enlighten imaging.

Trend setter
Developed from the ground up, we revolutionised the approach to patient stability, removing the awkward chin rest and enclosing the moving parts in a single sleek uni-body housing.

In control
Drawing on years of hardware expertise, we developed a custom carrier board, incorporating SoM support components: high speed USB3, PCIe, and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and all driver circuitry required to support the imaging engine. Using an ISO62304-compliant process for medical device software, we provided integrated application software for image capture and patient management.

Attention to detail
The design features snap-to magnetic lens cover, 360 degree accessible touch input, hidden fasteners, IP54 sealed enclosure and the Enlighten Imaging-developed three-axis optical stage fully suspended in our stainless steel chassis




Interfacing with real people
With a belief in integrated holistic design, we also helped to develop the user interface, ensuring a seamless high-quality feel, which is also user-friendly for both practitioner and patient.
