The Role

In your role as Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety of product development projects for clients which span across multiple engineering disciplines. You will be instrumental in managing the creation of better products together with our clients, from concept through to production. You will produce project timeframe and budget estimates based on conceptual requirements in accordance with client expectations. You will lead a diverse team of individuals to deliver each project by fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.  

The role involves these key responsibilities:

  • Leading cross-functional teams in the design, development, and delivery of electronics products from concept to market
  • Managing project scope, timeline, and budget while ensuring technical solutions meet client specifications and quality standards
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams on design and development, offering insights based on your electronics engineering expertise
  • Interfacing with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and manage expectations
  • Overseeing risk management, change control, and continuous improvement processes for all projects
  • Ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget while adhering to regulatory and industry standards
  • Providing hands-on technical leadership during critical stages of product development, including prototyping, testing, and product integration
  • Coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure smooth project execution
Minimum Criteria

The following skills and experience are required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • A formal project management certification is preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in in technical project management, specifically in electronics product development
  • Proven track record in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced consultancy environment
  • Hands-on experience in electronics design and product lifecycle management
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software integration, sensor systems, and product testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams and with external clients
  • Understanding of a variety of production/manufacturing processes
  • Experience in communicating with and evaluating local and offshore suppliers
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 & 9001 regulatory requirements pertaining to product development
Location

Our Denver office is located in Golden. We provide workplace flexibility by allowing staff to work from home for part of the week.
