PMO Lead (Brisbane)

In your role as PMO Lead, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing Ingenuity’s project delivery, ensuring consistent quality across multiple engineering disciplines. You will support successful client outcomes by guiding project execution and monitoring key milestones and risks on your own projects while leading your team of Product Development Managers and Project Coordinators in theirs. You will have visibility across all projects and will be responsible for overseeing and developing the Project Management Office (PMO), working with key stakeholders to ensure priorities, resourcing, and communication are effectively managed throughout the product development life cycle.

The Role

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Nurturing strong client relationships as the primary contact on your projects, and offering guidance to your team when they need additional support, ensuring open, clear communication across all project areas.
  • Defining and governing project scope and requirements in collaboration with clients and internal teams, ensuring feasibility, quality, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Translating client needs into clear technical direction for our design teams and overseeing delivery across the full product development lifecycle.
  • Leading cross-functional teams by setting technical standards, reviewing product architecture, and promoting our consistent, integrated approach to product development.
  • Developing PMO team capability through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing to improve technical excellence and project delivery maturity.
  • Managing technical and commercial risks and dependencies with the support of the R&D team, intervening where required to maintain momentum and project success.
  • Driving continuous improvement of delivery processes, tools, and governance to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Owning and reporting on PMO performance metrics, including delivery timelines, budget management and client satisfaction, and using insights to inform improvements and future planning.

Minimum Criteria

The following skills and experience are required for this role:

  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a working visa
  • A relevant qualification from a reputable education organisation (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management or product lead role
  • A background in product design and development
  • Extensive leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 & 9001 regulatory requirements pertaining to product development
  • Understanding of a variety of production/manufacturing processes
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
